PSP firmware update..

For those of you not in the know, the US v2.0 PSP update was made avaliable yesturday and it includes a web browser and even lets you change the wallpaper for the PSP "home" menu. I decided to make a wallpaper for it and share it everyone. Feel free to addon to the wallpapers, maybe this thread can be used to share wallpapers that you made, or cool ones that you have found.

BTW, is the web browser any good? Is it PC-quality or a crappy handheld standard one?

Of course you can't expect PC-quality, but its pretty good. A bit on the slow side for web pages, but downloading videos is suprisingly fast. Although if you have a large memory stick, you can allocate more for caching of pages and all that.

I think the thread starter wanted people to comment about this firmware update, not about DS Vs PSP, that`s old dude, anyway downloading right now....

How does surfing the internet work? Do you have to plug the PSP into to an internet able PC?

PSP has wireless capabilities. If you're in an area with wireless internet, you can browse the web, play online, and update the system.

Sweet. I should go upgrade my PSP now. I've never upgraded it.

It uses 802.11b wireless, no bluetooth here .

Wireless is still fine.
I can almost get an ok connection 3 stories high, when the connention is 3 stories down.
