Anyone seen this? I saw it last night and all I have to say about this movie is that I want my $20 and 2.5 hours back. What a total waste of money and time. Instead of being the gangster film I expected it was a crappy love story. The critics seem to disagree but screw them:

One the up side I also saw hangover a few days before, totally awesome movie.

Why were you expecting a gangster film? Had you never heard of Dillinger?

I saw it and thought it was pretty good, but I didn't mind the whole romance aspect of it.

Well gangster as in more suspenseful robbery/shoot out scenes. And they did throw in a mob aspect of it which was totally pointless in the context of the movie as it had virtually nothing to do with the plot.

Michael Mann != Michael Bay

looking back at the movie it was rather boring. i nearly fell asleep watching it.

The movie was good for having some amount of historical accuracy. That is, if you discount the love aspect of it. I liked the movie, but Christian Bale couldn't act 1930's if he had a freakin' Tommy gun pointed at his head.

Did Bale get out-acted/overshadowed in this film too? :p

Wait, movie's cost you $20?

This is one of the movies that I'm actually wanting to see.

$20 because I took a girl. But trust me, save your money; it really isn't worth it.

I kind of had a feeling the movie would not be fantastic.

its like every other michael mann movie, so its pretty long, has deep characters, and is all around awesome.

I liked it, I give it an 8/10. Definitely not boring, the pacing was good, except for the rather slow ending. It had that romantic element in the story, but it was far from a love story movie.
