Think about this one for a sec: How do you pronounce the word "Pumpkin".

I acually say it like "Punkin". What about you?

Do you like punkin'?

Just doesn't do it for me. Sorry, pumpkin.

Pumpkin.

The p is very... vague, but its there. Its not like, Pumkin.

Yea, Well.... Stupid You! ;(

No, I just find it's a waste of time to pronounce the "P", Isn't it easier you say punkin?

Punkin!!! Is There No One Who Agrees?!?!

'Eck-scape' is more annoying.

I'm sensing a lot of pumpkin based hostility on this thread. Why don't we all calm down and make our eck-scapes?

pumpkin with the p very vague.

OMFG I WANT PUMPKIN PIE RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW D:

Pumpkin pie ftw!!! omg I want some too

Same as Beery, Pum(hardly-pronounced-p)kin

But Punkin is just stupid. It's spelled with an M not an N.

A - loom - i - num

And it's correctly spelled "aluminum". You have it all wrong.

My brother says "always" like owe-eeze a lot. Heh and he thinks he doesn't have an accent.

Right. This is the story
A guy discovered loads of elements. Ended them all in -ium and then named the next one aluminum. he later changed it to alumium for continuity. Europeans accepted the change, Americans didn't.

Pumpkin. And that "eckscape" also kills my ears. Even worse is people referring to fudgesicles as "fudgicles" and that sort of thing. The English language is holy, people, please refrain from shitting on it in the future.

PUMpKIN.

I also hate it when people pronounce "et cetera" as "Eck-cetera". I mean, come on. Not only do they disregard the T, but they pronounce the C twice.

This man speaks the truth! The only altar I worship at is the altar of good grammar. I hate people who mangle English- their soo sutpid.
:D

I say it like Pum-kin and when I try to add the p it sounds Puntkin

Wtf are you talking about, the first time I heard a person from UK say Aluminium I didn't know what the hell they were talking about... (I heard it for the first time like last month...)

They say it like Al-ooo-min-ium... As far as I can remember any ways... Wierd..

Aluminium = Alyouminneeum. This makes perfect sense. 'Ium' is pronounced 'ium.'

Aluminium = Aloominum. This does not.

punkin. suck it.

and I can barely say alunminum. aluninum... aluminium.. dammit, see?

See? Que-Ever Knows how to talk.. Kinda..
