Well, what with Halflife 2 probarly being released in November now, that means that Bloodlines will maybe have to be pushed back to 2005. (or December, if we're lucky)

Do you think that Valve will let them release as planned anyway? If so, we might be getting it October/November. This also seems more likely now that CS: Source is being released as the first game using the Source engine.
Opinions?

I dont see why they cant bring it out before hl2... but theres some law saying they cant I guess, its a real shame, im looking forward to bloodlines more then hl2.

Well, iirc there is some sort of agreement between them and Valve saying that they cannot release Bloodlines until Valve has released their Source-game. But couldn't this be CS:S?

And aye, I'm also looking forward to Bloodlines a lot more then HL2.

Bloodlines has the lenght missing in HL2.

I mean, 20 out of 40 promised hours...

Well, it's an RPG. RPG's are supposed to be long and full of wonderfull content :E

Damnit, I drooled on my keyboard again :(

HL2 will prolly be a good 25 hours on hard, longer then any FPS this year I think.

I hope BL will come out soon after HL2, cause its like third on my buy list.

Only third? HERESY!
/me stakes brink's.

;)

Anyways, IMO Bloodlines has more replay value than HL2 (not counting the mods, of course), seeing as the story is bound to evolve differently depending on clan/gender. Oh, and choices too. Choices are important :P

First, over HL2!!!!
/me slaps Hund.
;)

I do agree that BL will have more replay value, you could prolly play it like 3 times through with it feeling like its a new experience each time. But, first time through HL2 will be better IMO.

I guess time will tell.

Yeah, HL2 will certainly have that "Wow!" feeling to it the first time through. But as it's been said it's very linear, unlike Bloodlines.

Wonder how many possible endings there will be to Bloodlines?
*Varg drools on the keyboard. Again.

Who knows, we dont even know anything about the story yet do we? Or do we.. I have not bothered looking as I dont care that much, I'll find out when I buy it.

Im more looking forward to Bloodlines as im a big fan of dark fantasy and rpg. Hl2 will still be on my too buy list, but if it was hl2 or bloodlines.. bloodlines would run outright.

Well, we don't know that much about the story. Only the beginning of it.

I'm lookign forward to bloodlines more than HL2. Considering that Troika have implemented a character cretion system that boards on arcanum style flexibility - and the rich vampire storyline it looks like a dead set winner.

I hear November 15th this year for this title, but i'm assuimg that there is a agreement that bloodlines can't be released until Valve release HL2. Considering that Bloodlines was allegedly alright to be released December last year it seems Troika have had extra time to tweak and improve it. The game looks beyond awesome.

Well, at least it'll be very few bugs in it when it's released.
December last year? Are you sure? :O

I couldn't give you definite proof on that but at Troika they seemed very happy with it in it's current state. But i think they also rejoiced at the chance to play around with the game some more.

Love those videos goign around of it = particularly that Hawaiian shirt wearing swearign injured guy :)

Well, more polishing time is always good from a devs point of view.

And I've given up on watching the Bloodline videos, they make me drool on my keyboard :O ;)
