I have dial-up, therefore I cannot have XBOX live, but I would like to have the latest patch for Bioshock so I can turn off Vita-Chambers and have that spiffy new plasmid they add, and maybe I'll download some patches for other games, but first I need to know:

How do I add downloadable content like this to my 360 with no net connection?

I'm pretty sure I heard about this somewhere, you have to burn it to a disk and do some other such crap, and it's LEGAL.

That "patch" for bioshock is DC and costs points I think. But yeah to get on the marketplace you have to be on Xbox LIVE.

You can burn xbox live updates to a cd or order a disk

I'm not sure about updates for 360 games. As suggested in the link, you would be better off taking it to a mates house with BB to update etc.

bring it somewhere with a high speed connection and no firewall...
