So I am thinking of selling my Creative Zen Micro MP3 player, and getting the larger Zen Vision M that can play video. The main reason I want to do this is so I can watch my movies for a long road trip I have planned. But I know that pretty much every DVD has copy protection to prevent piracy, which would probably prevent me from ripping my purchased DVDs on to my computer and then onto my Vision M.

But there has to be a way, since IPOD guys do it. Unless they buy the movies off of Itunes or something. My question is, how would I do this? I assume I need some software that would allow me to bypass the protection and rip it.

But if it is too much hassle for each movie I wont even bother spending that kind of money on the Vision M.

DVD Ripper rips them (duh) and breaks the encryption very well.

I usually start with that step, then encode it to XviD (with whatever program I feel like using at the time) so it will play on my Cowon A2.
