But yeah, I say owned all the time in real life. And it's rubbed off. I hear it said all the time now by people who rarely touch the computer, just because it's spread around my school.

The phrase "What a suckers!" has also spread. If someone does something stupid, gets caught doing something, something happens, etc, you're bound to hear someone yell "OH WHAT A SUCKERS!" -- From the Kikkoman flash

i say owned when what i am talking about is is not very extreme, and i say pwned when it is extreme.

example is in a movie, someone dies they are owned, but if it is really gory then they got pwned.

and i pronouce it "owned" with p in front. Powned.

Heheh, I know you wont believe me but my friend pretty much started the pwned thing off all on his own.


He used to play CS alot... loads and loads.

All that happened is that on his regular server he typed pwned instead of owned by mistake. Just a misstype and thought nothing of it..


Till he went back and realised that others on that server were saying it.... and on other servers.......

Seriously. Its true!!!



EDIT: Oh and just so you know.... we allways pronounced it "pawned"
