I'm just bout to pop off for forty winks (its like 12.40 here inthe UK!) and it got me thinking...

has anyone else ever had a dream, but completely forgotten about it until at some random point during the day, you see an image, or hear a phrase, something that triggers off you remembering that you actually saw or heard the EXACT same thing in that forgotten dream?? i know it sounds a little crazy, but this musthave happened to other people, aNd i was simply interested to know if anyone else has experienced abything similar... i do it quite often, like at least once a week...

It's just deja vu, caused by a lag in neurons that link your eyes to your brain. I used to get that a lot in middle school and elementary school.

wow, spookymooky. your neurons must've been running, what, 56k?

Ya happend today I had a dream last night i was in france the smell was horrid and my used to be best friend was there and we were having strange competitions. At the end of school today some girl i met was blabbing about france.

Yeah, I get this all the time. I don't remember my dreams apart from these short sequences that occur anywhere from a few weeks to a few months later. Very weird.

I'm the opposite, actually. I usually don't remember them at all, but when I do, they're almost always really vivid, really realistic, really moving, and really... beautiful. And they always happen when I need to be uplifted.

I get that alot. Generally though I remember ONE dream..then after a bit, forget...then remember, and have those kinds of fits. Kinda creepy.

Nah, I can generally remember my dreams quite vividly, for better or worse.

I had a dream a friend of mine had a mattress and we flew around in it, killing turtles and collecting mushrooms. He then turns around and says "You suck!" and flies off. I am eager to see the deja vu.

I have this experience quite a lot, the last one i remember, I was in my mates car and a crappy Vauxhall/Opel nova went flying past us on the motor/high way. The driver of it made some attempt to kit(pimp?) it up. My mate said "that looks f*cking shit, look at the exhaust its bent to one side." By the time he finish saying that, my spine shivered. Because not only did i remember him saying that, the car color was the same, i even looked up at the spoiler to see if the colors matched, they didn't. The spoiler looked a darker red than the rest of the body.

Déjà vu
A.
1) Psychology. The illusion of having already experienced something actually being experienced for the first time.
B
1) An impression of having seen or experienced something before: Old-timers watched the stock-market crash with a distinct sense of déjà vu.
2) Dull familiarity; monotony: the déjà vu of the tabloid headlines.

Once I had a dream where, like, me and this really hot girl, and, like, I was the father of the SAVIOUR OF HUMANITY. Yeah. That was cool. It lasted like 20 years real-time, too.

EDIT: It was nothing like Star Wars! It was kinda like this huge crazy religious epic thing, with a war between earth and heaven and shit, kinda like The Amber Spyglass but cooler. Yeah. With CLOUDS and ANGELS and lots of COFFEE.

Exactly the same for me, but sometimes i wake up not having dreamt at all, or knowing i did, but never remember what it was about.

The most fun thing that can happen while sleeping is a dreamless night. So you go to sleep, and it seems that after 7 seconds you wake up, and it's broad daylight.

Have you ever herd of proof reading?

I have the same dream now and again. I dream of falling, the place's, time of day change but two things never change. The falling part and the point where i hit the ground. I just lay there(in 1 piece), thinking. Not sure what about, then my mind switches to something else. I get it about twice maybe three times a week.

I hate that! I think its a case of not going to bed early enough.

That's what I meant. 95% of the time I don't remember anything, but every so often one night will have that small sequence that I vaguely remember, and actually happens a while later.

Sounds a little like Mario Brothers 2... (the flying carpet)

Deja Vu is just weird. I used to suffer with it alot during early secondary school. Keeps you awake though eh? :P

ah my god, I'm not sure that's possible. Those three books (Golden Compass, Subtle Knife, and Amber Spyglass) are absolutely fantastic. They freaking changed my life.

I remember i was camping one time and i had this weird dream that i married a black lady. Then when i woke up my friend asked me during Breakfast "would you ever marry a black woman?"

BTW i want your compy devil2

My dreams are ****ing crazy.

95% of them are based in what appears to be a post apocalyptic version of places i know.

I don't think i have ever "seen" a future event in my dreams tho.

Golden Compass? You mean Northern Lights, if you mean the Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman, ahhh bliss.
