It doesn't work battlefield style like you're thinking...You call in a request and it gets dropped off by helicopter/transport plane. You can't camp a spawn that doesn't exist.ElFuhrer said:Yeah Wolfenstien ET is the my favorite multiplayer game of all time. I just hope the vehicles won't ruin Quake Wars (idiots camping vehicle spawns).
CptStern said:this game was in development 2 years before BF2 was released ...so no
CptStern said:how do you figure? are you suggesting the guys from splash damage (UK) met with the guys from DICE and when they werent looking searched through reams of documents till they found a design document detailing a game that wasnt even in the works yet? Battlefield 2142 isnt the first mech game with vehicles ya know. In fact Spalsh damage started development on the game BEFORE rtcw: et was released back in 2003. But if you have compelling proof they lifted their game ideas from DICE by all means share it with us

I'm saying this game looks like bf2 "with mechs".
CptStern said:that's where the similiarity ends ..play rtcw Enemy territory, you'll see what I mean. Enemy territory although a fps, shares little in common with most deathmatch/capture the flag style games. The mix of classes and objective gameplay (objectives MUST be met in order to advance/win) differentiates it from other fps. BF2 is only similiar in that it has vehicules, but I can say the same about Halo or UT2004.
CptStern said:you owe it to yourself to play Enemy territory (it's free) ..if you like mp fps you'll like the refreshing change of pace ET delivers ..played it exclusively for years
