My mate saw it today and said it was dull as ditchwater. But then he didn't really like Casino Royale either.

Saw it last night. It's not as good as Casino Royale which I really enjoyed. This one lacked a real opening, middle and conclusion. It was all just...stuff which happened. I did enjoy it though, some great locations and special effects. Bond isn't so much a agent in this but moreso an assassin. He kills a couple people in this one pretty gruesomely and heartlessly, which is kind of the point. "Revenge kills" for Vesper.

Storyline was OK, and the main bad guy wasn't really that evil, mainly because he had no generic disability. A good bond film, easy viewing and lots of action.

I really thought it was quite bad. It's more of a second part of Casino Royale. You must really remember the previous story and characters from CR.

There is no story really, they only pronounce once " quantum" in the whole film, hell, they don't even explain what it is.

There was to much action as well, some fights were nice some were stupid specially the plane one. The talk for five minutes and then they hace 10 minutes action scenes wich are really pointless.

For me it didn't really feel like a James Bond movie, more of a Bourne flick. You only see the aston martin once, no gadgets, no real evil corporation etc etc.

I really enjoyed it but it does feel like unlike casino royale there is not as much emotion or as much depth to the story and characters, it feels like a lot of skirmishes put together. CR showed the emotional development of bond and his involvement in something bigger we didn't know about. Now bond just seems to have stopped one of their schemes no big loss to them really.

Although I really liked the ending and damn

BTW, does anyone know why the release dates are so weird? OK, I understand UK getting it first but I LOLed when I saw that countries such as Honduras, Ecuador, Guatemala, Nicaragua get it before North Americans WTF?

Poor film. Casino Royale was passable but Quantum really tanked. No real plot, no real direction, no real investment in the characters - it was pure dull viewing.

I heard the theme tune a few weeks ago and couldnt help but laugh at its pure shitness. Its not a bond tune, what kind of bond tune has the ***k-tard from white stripes in it? Bhaha.

Anyway, gonna go see this in a few hours, hope it lives upto the hype.

Wow. My excitement level has dropped considerably. I will still see it in theaters as that is where it is best seen, but this makes it a little less inviting.

Well, Samon called Casino Royale "passable", while I really enjoyed it, so maybe I'll still enjoy the new one, only a bit less

I haven't seen it yet but it's a shame that it doesn't live up to or surpass Casino Royal. I was really hoping we were entering a new golden age for Bond films, still can be I suppose providing the next up picks up the slack.

Mediocre. The director was absent, and the plot was messy. It wasn't Bond. Good CGI, but that can be said for any movie these days.
