I know that to play online I need a unique cd key and create an account with them. Does that mean I can not buy a used copy then or else I can't play online (abit like steam i suppose)?

Does this happen with all of their games? Even the old ones or just the new ones?

I ask this cos I want to get battlefield but I don't know if getting a used copy will work or not.
BTW is it worth getting the old battlefields like 1942 and vietnam? Will they work online used?

It's definitely worth getting bf1942, but I only know that when I checked it out of the library a few times, I was successfully able to make an account and play with it online.

Thanks

Does anyone else know? Especially about the newer games like BF 2 or something like crysis?

Generally speaking a used copy of BF2 from say ebay would be supplied along with the account details. You'd be better off buying new if at all possible anyway the older titles are cheap and if you look hard enough you should be able to find sealed copies.

In battlefield 2 you could make as many accounts with your key as you wanted, but seeing as they used gamespy every possible name is already taken.

I've seen the BF1942 Anthology still being sold at Best Buy.

But anyways, It's totally worth buying them all.(BF2 + 2142 less so unless you play in a coordinated squad.)
