My friend asked me today if it were possible to get banned on the PC Live service for piracy like you can get banned on xbox live for piracy (yes he downloads games :dozey:). I said I have no idea but MS would probably ban you if they can ban you on xbox live.

So can you get banned on windows lvie like you can for xbox live if you pirate games?

My friend downloads games too, every now and then.

So is Games for Windows spyware?

umm im pretty sure you cant even sign on to windows live(besides a local account) without a legitimate cd key for the game. so pirating the game wouldn't effect it.

before people start yes it is my friend not me. He's a hardcore PC gamer who flat out refuses to buy almost any games at all(the only game he's getting this year has been crysis).

I just don't allow the program to sign access the internet. But I'm buying the game I dl'd so I don't have much to worry about hopefully.

Look in the End-User Agreement.
You pirates suck, anyway.

sometimes i masturbate with my friend

oh crap, that sounded bad

oh crap, i forgot i could edit

oh crap

Windows live is the PC equivalent of xbox live but unlike xbox live it's not anywhere near as successful and has been met with criticism.

So you have to PAY to play Halo online (for the PC)...

Thats terrible :/

No, that is a common misconception.

There are two tiers:

1) Silver - Free and mimics the service you have today where you go into a server browser and pick a server. You have no idea of the skill level of the players.

2) Gold - Does matchmaking based on skill, multiplayer achievements, etc.

About the original topic, I'm not entirely sure it would. You get blocked from installing without a valid CD-Key, and if you circumvent that, then you still can't play online without a valid CD-Key. They won't be able to ban you I would think.

Everyone here pirates games, and you all know you do.

I bet not one person here can say they don't have atleast 1 burned copyrighted game near or around their computer.

That is just absurd and outrageous!
How dare you accuse of us of such illegal and morally questionable activities?
