Question: Multiple OS, default to one.

OK...question...

Mom's HP PC was REALLY slowing down, plus there was alot of junk on there, and XP Home was installed.

so, I formatted the HD, and installed XP Pro. MUCH better. BUT when it goes to load windows, it still thinks that there should be a XP Home installed as well, so it gives me a stupid "Choose OS" screen. the XP home isn't there, I even selected it out of curiosity. if left alone it will load XP pro after 60 seconds.

my question:

how do I tell it to just LOAD win XP and SKIP the useless choose OS screen?!?

Did the computer come with a recovery disk containing the OS or is the recovery stuff on the hard drive?

yea, I deleted that partition. I hate all that HP junk

fixed via boot.ini thanks to the UT2k3 fourums.

Or you could plug in a boot disk, and when the cmd comes up type "fdisk /mbr"
