Question regarding PS3's 1080i problem.

My TV can support 720p, but automatically upscales it to 1080i. Does this mean that if i get a ps3, it will downscale everything to 480p? Because that is what they say it does with HDTV's that are only 1080i.

EDIT: Wait you said your TV could display 720p?? Then you should have no problem, as long as your TV can support 720p your good.

I believe they fixed this awhile ago. Make sure you update your PlayStation 3. I have mine running 1080i for games (my monitor cant support 1080p for some reason) and I haven't had any problems. It was so worth getting a component cable.

I don't think it can display 720p. It supports it, but upscales it to 1080i.
