I was reading an article about another game(StarCraft: Ghost) and it made me think about something in HL2. Say your sniping or something in City17 at some nsty combine soldiers. If im not mistaken they carry grenades,or fif they dont your shooting some1 who does. If you shoot the grenade thats in a stap on their body will it blow up and kill them and possibly others around? Just wonderin. Peace.

doubt it, but it would be cool. and i guess its a design decision, not a technical limitation

edit: said it first hurra!

I don't think so. But it's probably a design question. :)

Edit: argh someone was before me.

In Halo this is possible :)
Why not in HL2. That would be a pure design decision.

something like the sven coop team to look at

remember golden eye. Shoot the mine/gernade right out of their hands.

If you shoot the tank on the back of the Door-Breaker-Downer-Guy in Opposing Force, heh, 'boooom' hehe :)

It wouldn't be very realistic unless your useing... em those bullets that explode on impact. Otherwise I don't think it will go through the grenades outer caseing and ignite the em gunpowder, TNT, whatever they put in grenades.

Depends on whether the explosive compound's shock-sensitive or not.:dork:

Seeya.

As in electric shock? in that case the UT2K3 sniper rifle might work :cheese:

no , as in it's sensitive to being bumped kinda hard.

Personally, I wouldn't want to carry around grenades in the heat of battle that, if I bumped too hard, would explode on me. You'd end up something like :borg: pretty quickly.

You wouldn't want to :bounce: either.

Heh. I don't think that they're *that* sensitive.:E

Seeya.

grenades aren't big firey explosions they fragment the shell making it like one large buck shot. seems this is a misconception in a lot of games. there is fire but its the fragments that will kill you.
