... 480 is recommended but what is REQUIRED for all normal sys func?blahblahblah said:he's probably talking about voltage - from the wall outlet.
This is not directed at you, but it is meant for all these people who have questions about power supplies. Unless you built your own computer recently or bought your computer through a company like alienware, you will need to upgrade your PSU. So if you have a dell, HP, compaq, etc, you will need to buy a new power supply unit. If you don't know what your PSU is, you probably need to buy a new one. Most computers that you buy today have a 230W PSU in it. That is a far cry from the 480W recommend for the 6800 Ultra.
link dont workblahblahblah said:Depends. Here is a nice link for you to read.
Aight... ile see if i can get some $ for a new PSU.. ps i think its my browser cause dat link still dun workComradeBadger said:TrinityXero. Upgrade your PSU if you want a 6800.
ile shoot for a 300-400 PSU ne ways... b/s i really need to upgrade soonumop said:If the 6800 ultra draws a max of about 110 or so watts, it won't be able to power the CPU and other devices (HD, mobo, cd-rom, etc), so you will need a much bigger PSU.
ComradeBadger said:Go for 400+ W PSU, since a 300W won't really handle a 6800.
