i was wondering what the polcy/ vB settings are for thread pruning. how old does a thread have to become before it gets pruned? or is all pruning done manually?

We don't prune threads. If we did it would be done manually.

the reason i ask is because i clicked 'last page' on the half life two forum.... and... there were some posts there that were fairly new, and i havent seen it go over 38 pages. maybe im just insane.

Look at the bottom of the threads listing there should be a display box with an option to show threads "From the beginning". Make sure it's selected to that and you should see all 200+ pages.
