i'm trying to make a map where you're put into the third person view at the begining of the level, by putting a trigger around the player start that activates the "thirdperson" and "setmodel" consoIe commands. i'm having a few problems though:

1: does anyone know how to get the "thirdperson" consoIe command to work properly? i know gordon has no character model other then a pair of hands, but when i type in "thirdperson", i'll be looking at that pair of hands from the right side, rather then from behind. when i shoot a weapon he'll shoot it to the right rather then straight out in front of me, and when i move around he'll move according to his own view (like W makes me move right, A makes me move forward, etc). i heard theres a way to fix this, but i don't know if it's done by changing map properties, or by changing the properties of the game itself, which wouldn't really be a valid option for me, because i want others to be able to download this map and play it, and having to have them alter their game files before playing it would be a pain in the ass and maybe not worth it

2: i can't get the setmodel command to work. i wanted to give gordon a combine model, so i could at least see how it looks from the third person perspective (even if it is sideways), but when i type in "setmodel combine_soldier" the game just crashes. i assume i'm doing something wrong here, anyone know how to use this command right?

if anyone could answer either of these questions, i'd appreciate it

~TIA
