Quick qestion...

1) Stop rubbing it.
2) Don't wear it.
3) Touch metal to zap yourself.

Ground yourself constantly, eg, touch radiators when you walk past them.

If you can't get rid of it, work around it. I used to shut car doors with my elbow.

Seriously though, you can use a water filled (mist-type) spray bottle to spray down your clothes. It will remove the static. It also gets out wrinkles.

Glorious hardwood flooring.
