Quick question about when map starts

ok..so i was wondering..how do you put stuff in that box when the map starts? like i want to put some tips and what NOT to do to make yourself not freeze in a map i made..its my first map w/o a tutorial..and i want to know how to do that..because i have NO idea..can anyoen help me?

What do you mean exactly? What box are you talking about?

Well, a map consists of a number of entities existing in space bound on all sides by world brushes, so you might want to make entities.

no, i mean when you join a game, that box comes up saying the server and stuff..in hl2dm it says lik You are playing on a half-life 2 deathmatch server blah blah blah..and some poeple like put text in it, or like big photos or their server or something, i wanna know how to put my OWN text into that box that comes up when u join a game

That's the MOTD. It's server-side. Check motd.txt in the mod directory.

For CS:S there's also a map info box. That's mapname.txt in the maps folder.
