I completely understand why. Hopefully others know to not judge anything til it is at least launched.

lol  You'd think they'd get some kind of specifications, but nooooo

Looking sweet, but what model would give that performance and at what price?

And beerdude, they gave all the specs on the first page.

I think that they are fake. It is the only article on the entire site.
The 'benchmark' pretty much shows what we should expect from the new card though.

Hmmm, yeah i think it's fake. I mean, it's not like the authors of that website are biased or anything.....;)

If Level505's comments seem a little too pro-ATI, don't be too surprised. When asked if the site was affiliated in any way to ATI or AMD, the owner replied to DailyTech with the statement that "two staff members of ours are directly affiliated with AMD's business [development] division."

Well if it is indeed run by ppl "affiliated with AMD's business [development] division", that just makes it less fake in my eyes (more of a marketing move).

Knowing ATi, probably ?700

BTW, somethings wrong with the pound sign, turns into question mark :(

wouldn't they make a hella lot more money if they sold em for like $150 instead of $630?

Lets skip to the chase, which is better 8800 or R600?

EDIT: That would be the R600. :D

Noooooooo I just baught a pc with a 8800GTX in it . Now i'll have to upgrade as soon as it comes out :)
NOT:thumbs:

When will the R600 launch? Any prices yet? Will be interesting to know because Nvidia has no DX10 competition at the moment so hopefully there will be a price plunge. :D

How powerful are these in terms of last ability? Are these things going to play anything for a long time, little technological advancement in games?

I THINK it is shipping with Vista. Around $630. :(

I think Vista is affordable when remembering the XP launch prices. I was shocked to see it at a low price, so for $630 for Vista and a R600, cool!

Uh, okay?

Our last test features the strategy game Anno 1701, also marketed as 1701 A.D. by the german development studio Sunflowers Interactive Entertainment Software.
Even though we are talking about a real-time strategy game, the graphics are demanding as the game is using current shader effects (i.e. for water generation), especially in higher resolutions (1600?1200 and above), as you can see here:

For your information, I have played the demo with a 6600 at playable frame rates
