SEVERAL European far-right parties announced a new organisation aimed at fighting the "Islamisation" of Europe.

The group dubbed "Cities against Islamisation" was presented to the media in the northern Belgian city of Antwerp by Filip Dewinter, head of the far-right Belgian party Vlaams Belang (Flemish Interest) along with Austrian FPOE leader Heinz-Christian Strace and Robert Spieler of the regionalist Alsace First group.

Parties from Britain (the British National Party), Denmark, Germany and Italy were also represented at the launch of the group which has a road-sign-style crossed-out mosque as its logo.

Thirty members of the new organisation then set off on a walk around areas of Antwerp with a high immigrant population.

Belgium's second city Antwerp has a cosmopolitan population that includes a substantial minority originating from Muslim countries.

It has also been the main bastion of Vlaams Belang for the last 20 years, as the far-right party pursues its goal of an independent Flemish state.

Hm, further delegitimization of a valid issue. But that's the way it is with Nazi ideology today; Piggy-back on valid ideas until you get to power as a result of it. The BNP themselves even admitted this:
We bang on about Islam. Why? Because to the ordinary public out there it's the thing they can understand. It's the thing the newspaper editors sell newspapers with. If we were to attack some other ethnic group ? some people say we should attack the Jews ... But ... we've got to get to power.

Whether it means not attacking a certain group or focusing on another, same shit.

Oh great, like rational logical secular arguments against Islam and religion as a whole really needs these racist parties...ugh...

That's the problem, they're the ones who speak the loudest in this matter. Just like Islamists. In both cases it's really a problem that they claim to represent things they've hijacked.

Great idea, let's fight bigotry with bigotry.
Fundamentalism against fundamentalism? Who will win?

Whoever wins, we lose.

lol...i was to photoshop a picture with a nazi and islamofacist AVP2 style

It would be a shame if someone took that message and spread it around the internet by posting links to it, wouldn't it?

On the other hand it is a good idea to make sure people differentiate
between racism and valid criticism. As well as distance yourself from
lunatics who's stupidity undermines your cause or any normal conversation
regarding your subject. As they have done for years now.

Still though, I mean you live in a capitalist country and your biggest
problem are nazi's/religious nuts/environmentalists/nukes/biologicals
weapons/terrorism. Get your priorities straight.

I mean it's like worrying about the bad influence of video games
when you have a nut in the office who wants to nuke the middle east.
