you'll be better off with a cheaper 128mb version as there is little difference bwteeen them. by going for the 256mb version you will gain maybe 2-3 FPS for a much greater outlay!

If you're gonna drop 250 bucks on a video card, find a used x800pro or 6800. The 128mb 9800 can be procured for around 150 bucks these days though.

Yeah but the $150 9800 is a fake 128-bit piece of crap. Get the 6600GT the AGP version will come out soon enough and it's $200 and much better.
