I know just because it is on eBay doesn't mean that it is out, but some of the sellers say that they will have it to you in 5 business days or less. I don't see anything about it's release on ati.com, but they reviewed it in this month's PC gamer. They said that coupled with an AMD Athlon 64 FX-51, the x800 XT is unstoppable. It is unbelievably fast and beats the 6800U by something like 17 FPS in Far Cry (1600x1200 Max settings, 4x AA, 8x AF)

PC gamer gave it a 93% score.

So it seems to me like it is either out in very limited supply, or it will be out very shortly.

If it is not out yet, does anyone have any idea when it will be out? I worked for months and months around the house and got good grades to save up enough money. (I have $638.00 saved)

Thanks.

:D Yep you can get it now I think if you look hard enough. There was a bad ass deal that Gateway was doing X800 XT's for $450.

Really? Do you know of any other places where I could get my hands on one?

Comp USA won't get it until 6/27/04. Is that the same for everyone or can you actually physically have it in your hands right now?

10 day backorder at komplett but they are available.

Should be gettin mine in a week or so :D

Cool Pobz. I can't wait to get it and play Far Cry on max settings 1600x1200.

I don't know where I should buy it though... Is pricewatch.com trustworthy? I don't feel like installing it myself, I don't want to have to worry about grounding and I don't want to accidentally screw up a $500 video card, so I guess I'll wait for Comp USA to get it (they install for free). Waiting is hard.

I work at compusa and we STILL don't even have the damn x800 PRO :-(
So I have no idea when we will get the XT one.

if you want, go to Japan and pick up a Sapphire for around $800 USD. :D

Alienwares offers it as an upgrade for it's computers as well, for less than the 6800 Ultra.

I'm waiting on the ASUS X800 XT Platinum.........its coming with alot of goodies plus an optimized core from asus. :D

When will that be out? There's a 16 pipeline x800 XT coming out 6 months from now, but I don't want to wait for that.

 OMG Pat, it is soooo easy to install a video card! I don't really trust the internet when it comes to buying products... so I guess I will have to wait until I can get it at BestBuy or CompUSA or Frys.

um pat all x800xt's are 16 pipelines.

PC Gamer said the one that they recently tested had 12 pipelines. The GeForce 6800U has 16 Pipelines. If the x800 XT that PC Gamer got is that good at 12, I imagine it would be even better at 16.

Maybe PC Gamer made a typo, but that's what it says in there. They also say that the x800 Pro has 8 pipelines.

pc gamer are noobs.

all x800 xt's are 16 pipelines
all x800 PRO's are 12 pipelines...this is what they probly had

Wow. Stupid PC Gamer n3wbs.

Okay so it comes out in Comp USA in 2 weeks, I guess I'll get it there. If I can't get it there, I'll get it at Best Buy, but I want to buy it in a retail store. I noticed that Newegg.com is way over-priced on the X800 Pro cards. They charge up to 450 bucks!

;) Pat you're totally lost dude. Some X800 Pro's can be modded to have 16 Pipelines, THAT IS SOME... but they have 12 at default. The X800 XT's surely have 16 pipelines.

you are probably mistaken. Pc gamer reviewed both the x800 and the x800 xt one has 12 pipelines the other has 16.

cant wait for the xt......16 pipelines....................*ejaculates*

How can Asus 'optimize' the core? ATi make the GPUs in Taiwan, Manufacturers like Asus/Sapphire/Hercules buy the GPUs off ATi and they are all the same.

I reckon it's just confusing sales babble to make everyone buy Asus cards.

asus is probably a more reliable company than ati themselves. when they buy the cards off them, that doesnt mean they just take it out of the box and put it into an asus box. they probably tested the card and strengthed it's core clock. though i dont see how they would do this, this is what i read. dont ask me for a link though because honestly i dont remember where i read it. someone had a link to the asus xt platinum features page a while back and it was stated there.

what are you talking about?

....yeah they spot welded a timex to it.....:P

when I say GPUs i mean the chips on the cards, not the entire cards... I know asus make their own board and cooler but they use the same generic X800XT GPU that they get from ATi - that's why I don't understand how they can sell it saying it's somehow different when it isn't.
