Congratulations to Campaignjunkie with the release of Radiator episode 2. Without a doubt this is one 'awesome' experience. That is, if you're interested in gay marriage counseling. This particular episode has you enter your gay partners brain and break crates to unearth memories. If this sounds like your cup of tea, give it a try!

Exactly what I thought :P May have to try this, Glenn says it's excellent! But I think he may be bias ;)

I have played this through and it is indeed truly bizarre. The theatrical aspect the maker was looking for is certainly achieved, but it is fairly thin in terms of substance over all.

Voice lines repeat in the background annoyingly, and you don't do much but trigger memories by breaking crates. The end is quite well crafted, and up for interpretation but then so is the time you spend playing the mod.

already beat it - waiting for episode three

It's not a WWII, Iraq or Post-cyberpunk MOD. That's enough to get me interested. Looks fascintating.

This is probably the worst mod I have ever played.

It is worth noting that this series of mods are meant to experiment with off the wall and original gameplay ideas, episode one revolved around learning how to find certain star formations in the night sky, whilst delivering a srap of story in the background. Its an excersise in different parts of first person game design, like the setting of atmosphere and awareness using limited space etc. It shouldnt be taken as anything else.

I played Episode 1 and loved it. But the guy was such a ****ing asshole. Forces me to LEARN THINGS and then ****ing leaves... and then my player character wants to make out with him after he tells a lame ass story after wards? WHAT THE ****? PLEASE TELL ME WOMEN ARE NOT REALLY THIS IRRATIONAL! That guy has to be the greatest video game villain ever!

Anyways, like I said, I loved the first episode, gonna give this one try too.

The player character in Ep1 of Radiator is woman.

EDIT: played the second ep. Fantastic mood and story telling.

Something tells me that Campaignjunkie might know the sex of the playable character in Episode 1.

*stares* :/

I am not sure if I completely finished the second ep2. Are you supposed to be able to do something with the crate when X9 comes?

Well, there's only two things you can do with a crate.

(Oh, and there's a convenient mute button on the control panel below the screen, for those being driven a little too crazy.)

Yeah, throw to make it explode or put it in the correct shelve to progress. But it was a bit confusing since before that the game had thought me that I have to put it in the correct shelve to progress, yet there were no X9 shelve anywhere to be seen. The first episode thought you how to find the correct path in the end, so I was expecting the same here. But instead the only solution I was able to find was to throw the X9 to ground, which felt wrong since I had learned not to do it. I kept loading from quicksave trying to figure it out but alas.

How many different endings are in Ep1? I only got 2, one when I left immediately, and the other when I went looking for him. Does something happen if you wait?

And for Ep2 I got 2 endings, one when I left immediately, and another when I broke the final box and it showed everything as a stage.

Both of them actually have one more ending, neither of which I've seen:

In Ep1, I think you have to head north once the man disappears. See? Apply what he taught you. No idea if you need to do anything more.
Ep2 has an ending where you stay together. This is achieved by repressing what you really think, which presumably means you can actually do something with Crate X9 without breaking it. What that is I have no idea.

Anyway, though thin on the ground, I really enjoyed this mod and the atmosphere it created.

I actually did head North for that reason, to which I got the same response.
