Ragdoll Screwed Up

Ok, so I bought the game when it came out, and i still havent played it past Route Kanal. This is because the ragdolls flop around like they're having a seizure WITHOUT END, and objects fall through floors and walls, and things just move on their own. its completely messed up, and i reformatted my harddrive, installed all the newest drivers, tried a new video card, cycled my ram and tried all sorts of stuff. someone please help me.
