Rainbow 6 (360) E3 footage

Normally games like this send me to sleep - this one looks very cool.

I think we had a thread on this some time ago, everybody hated what they were planning to do with rainbow 6.

only watched a bit of it (not much fun without sound) ...looks good ..however the last 2 R6 games were very poor ..the Critical Hour one was one of the worst fps I've played in years

Take a look at the Vid, Grey. I wasn't remotely excited about Rainbow 6 on the 360 before, but will be keeping an eye out now. If it comes with co-op i'll pick this game up without hesitation, especially if it's over Live.

The video takes a long-ass time to buffer. But I had sound. I kinda liked Rainbow 6 3, but I didnt play anything after that one. This looks a lot like Ghost Recon 3 though, and if it plays like Ghost Recon 3, then I wont be getting it. Or if the PC version is XBoxed. Im intrigued none the less.

it will most likely have co-op all other r6 games do ..in fact I've played them all because it's one of the few game franchises that has co-op (Ghost recon too)

heh if you can call them that ..the brand is MLi (?) only one speaker works and the other is mostly static ..but good enough to listen to music at low volume

Isn't this the game that IGN gave an E3 award to? It tied with Crysis? If that's the case, then I'm sure it's pretty tight.

But 267 MB? My internet provider sent a message in the mail saying they are doubling our internet speed from 384k to 768k (something like that). For FREE, permanently, in the first week in June. I'll check it out then.:bounce:

I <3 R6! Hopefully, this will be more realistic than the last few incarnations of the series. IMO, Ravenshield was the last good R6 game.

Some of the elements looked quite good. I really liked the idea of being able to select targets for your men.

Plus, isn't this from the same people as Ghost Recon? Or atleast connected in some way? Because in my opinion it looks like pretty much the same engine....

For some reason, I get the feeling while watching this that it's one of those "trailers that looks like in-game footage but is really scripted to all hell" that E3 tends to be associated with.

if by scripted you mean that the enemies will more or less be in the same area, what game doesn't do that ? hl2 doesn't have dynamic level design and the only game that remotely does is diablo 1/2.

.. and i bet it was more or less setup, it's just a single small part they want to demo so they set it up so it's fun, they aren't going to demo someone loading a map, going into settings and choosing their favourite options, then slowly go through learning new controls or whatever.
