Picked it up today at EB for the 360, here are my thoughts.

Good shit:

-Getting XP for single-player is awesome, and then taking that XP and spending it on customizing your character for SP/MP combat
-Bigger variety of maps, people dont just play Calypso Casino over and over again like in Vegas 1
-Coop is pretty cool

Bad shit:

-Graphically not much different than Vegas 1
-Not many different bits of equipment from the first one
-You kinda need to hold your AI's hand the whole way through

It's a pretty good game, if you enjoyed Vegas 1 or are finally bored of Call of Duty 4 I'd give it a try.

It's my policy not to pay full price for expansions.

That's kinda what it feels like tbh, the new customization stuff kinda makes it worth it though

I picked it up yesterday, not going to play it until i at least beat Condemned 2.

Seems exactly like Vegas 1 to me with the ability to sprint. Most of my friends are calling it Vegas 1.5.

Frame rate seems a lot smoother in a lot of places, and the friendly AI is a lot better, the leapfrogging system works really well. The single player campaign was really disappointing though. Its really jarring having the new main character have pretty much the exact same voice as most of the enemies.

tried the demo, it was ****ing terrible, the RS franchise is dead to me

Hated it. Played it round my friend's place and it was terrible. Flanking Terrorists on Terrorist Hunt was ok, but the graphics were horrible for a PS3 game (forgot to add textures?) and the gameplay is boring.

It doesn't live up to the older R6 titles. It's like a whole new animal but, is pretty fun.

I was thinking, you can quick access the map but, why not add the ability to add short waypoints for the AI on the go? Also the fact that they cannot be separated is lame imo but you can surely enough go solo on the alternate insertion into a room.

the wall-lean and blindfire is cool, it's incredibly useful for realistic terrorist hunt. And playing with some people that are content to use teamwork is so satisfying after we complete the mission.

I was looking forward to this for ags and now its finally here im 50 - 50. Yes it is an expansion and feel a littel cheater paying full price. But still it works well and the new XP system is great (however not worth the money, this shud really be an expansion... in fact the XP system could have been added as DLC really). The SP is OK, asme as before really and enemy AI is soooo sh1te. MP is where it shines, and dont compare to COD4 as they are both different in gameplay even though both are FPS. I love the way you use the cover system and stick C4 above doors and lure people in hehehehe. The gameplay and mechanics is setup so the game is very intense, ive had countless MP TD matches where the win has been determined by the last few kills of the match.

All in all its a good game especially if ur bored of COD4. Still shd be cheaper though.

Blindfire accuracy is far from perfect. It usually takes a clip to kill a guy at medium range.

ur right, blind fire is more dangerous in Vegas2, ive actually died by getting shot in the arm too much!!

Vegas Day 2:

Been playing a lot of SP because all the MP games I go for I either can't join or it's on one of the re-made Raven Shield maps. I loved Raven Shield but if I wanted to play the maps over again I'd just go a ****ing play Raven Shield. I unlocked the M4 today, and it's made the game a lot more fun for some reason. There's just something about popping terrorists in Spetznaz camo with an M4 that is awesome.

I don't regret buying the game, yet.

How many weapons are in it?

more importantly, is the MP5SD-N featured?

How many 5 year old play in the multiplayer, I need a game to replace CoD4 now that the 5 year old invasion has begun.

and on top of the old remakes, THEY SUCK in Vegas 2. Some of the new maps have hints from RVS as well, it kind of bothers me that the mapping takes little design copy from maps from previous titles.

The MP5N is in but, almost all the SMG and assault rifles are able to be silenced from my selection of weapons including the the MP5N.

So......They finally stopped overlooking this?

yeah mp5 pdw is a nice piece, i dont think they included it into this one although there is the mp7 and mp9

I still think that an R6 game without atleast 2 different kinds of MP5 is blasphemy. :p

Probably gonna give this a hire tonight, see if it changes my opinion at all.

Played a little of the mp today. It felt more stable. But nade spam in these recent games just goes to show how unbalanced some of the game play is. There are capture points that are no bigger then a bathroom. With 2 exits both parallel. Its just nade nade nade flash flash flash, repeat. Ill play more before i fully judge tho.

I really don't understand why they took r6 and made it into something else, there are plenty of swat team first person shooters and army shooters. Rainbow Six has a different and completely unique style all the way up until ravenshield. After that :(.

In R6:V1 all the hosts would disable frags, icendiaries, tear gas and sometimes C4 which makes the game a lot more enjoyable.

Might grab this, I played the first a ton.

So it's an expansion? Does this mean you need the first game to play it? Or is it a stand alone game?

It`s not an expansion, its VEGAS 2!! Look at the number. It`s a new game! It just looks very simular to the first game, nothing more! It`s without no doubt worth a buy.

I have way too many games on my shopping list now =/
