Raising the Bar

I'm frusterated because Barnes & Noble says that Raising the Bar comes out November 23rd. I know that's wrong, because VALVe told us that it comes out November 12th. I checked with stores around my city, and they all said the 23rd. I want to buy the book, but I want to have it ASAP considering it is already out...There is also a book on ebay for sale, but its 5$ more than B&N.

Compusa has the prima strat. guide, but sadly not 'Raising the Bar'.

I don't really ever use strategy guides. I usually just goto the store, and take a look at it if I'm stuck..lol...Usually I find my strats online from places like well I forgot the name, but...Sometimes they can give some pretty handy tips.

I saw copies of Raising the Bar today behind the counter at EB Games when I picked up my strategy guide. When I asked about it, the clerk told me that they couldn't sell them until Monday. I, too, saw the "23rd" release date at B&N and Borders.

My local Gamestop had some, but they sold out. EBGames is getting their shipment in soon. I just ordered from EBGames.com, though, with overnight shipping. It'll probably come Monday. (If you look on EBGame's site, somewhere on it there's a promotional code to enter when you check out. With it, you get $7.00 off strategy guides. Raising the Bar is cosidered one of these, so i practically had the overnight shipping paid for right away!)

Got mine at EB Games tonight. I stopped reading when it got to the Half-Life 2 stuff. I can wait 2 days to get the full effect.

Got mine from EB. I stopped reading it though when it went into the HL2 section. They have a nice chapter on HL1 then it moves slowly into mods, then CSS and then HL2. Im not sure whats after that. I must say its very nice to have this in hard cover It reminds me of my old schoolbooks (thats how durable it is).

:dozey: Shit man, my EB didn't have it... they need to get that shit in ASAP! I saw the Prima strategy guide, dunno if I should've gotten it though. I also saw the game on display, I asked the dude if I could buy it... but he said no, only on the 16th, I WAS LIKE WTF BITCH!? There was nothing on the game boxes except the "New Release" sticker- there was no pre-order offer... he should have sold it to me!
