ok, to cut a long story short... how do i figure out what kind of ram ive got?

yes... i know nothing about computer hardware.. but im not stupid, i swear!

erm... i want to know. what kind. of RAM. i have.

as far as my very limited knowledge about computer hardware goes.... there are different types of ram. for example:
i tried shoving in some ram from my old pc, caveman style... it wouldnt fit.
common sense dictated to me... that it was a different type, and thus i would need to find out what kind of ram i need to buy!


please dont hurt me, all you hardware type people... dont hit me with your huge, pulsating, intimidating brains of yours!
