:naughty: Okay, let's get it on! I got an Asus P4SD-VX motherboard. It's a rare Motherboard(can be found in VAIO PC's) and it supports DDR-2700 ram. I am wondering if I can install DDR-400 ram on my motherboard without any problems(if possible). I've heard people doing stuff like this, claiming that it's better off doing this, but I still need some confirmation. My current ram doesn't even run at it's true speed, it runs at 160 instead of 166, so 320Mhz instead of 333Mhz. Must be that my ram sucks or something, I got 256 x2 Dual Channel mode.

Also, if possible is it even worth it? Any benefits?

It'd more than likely work in the motherboard, but it's generally not a good idea.
Even so, you won't see a performance boost. Just get PC2700, it's cheaper anyway :)

it will work but the motherboard will just downclock it to the max it can support.
