I'm pretty much fine with my current video card (radeon 9600XT 128 MB) but it seems that playing the game on medium settings (with no aa or af) i get these weird little "pauses", kind of like lag. I'll be running along and then it will kidn of be choppy for half a second.

can this be fixed by upgrading my RAM from 768 to 1024 or 1.2gb? i really don't want to have to buy a new video card...

i get the same thing. i'm running a 256mb vid card, but only have 512mb of ram. i think i'm gonna hop both up.

i have 1 gig of ram, 2.8 ghz wit hyperthreading.. and a 9800 pro 128mg. i can run half-life 2 seamlessly with all the settings on hi.. aa on 4x, the pf on 2x and the resolution at 1024x 840. When i enter massive areas it does that small lag bit. But only when entering new areas. I would say play at a smaller resoltuion or definatly get more ram. Dont forget that the game's textures in such a amazing enviroment is crazy on the videocards lol.

PEACE

you dont need more then 1 gig of ram it can only be graphics card i did have a 9600pro did have pb with it now i have a x800pro no pb here anymore. but to get more than 1 gig or ram is bullshit rather buy faster ram it will give you better results.
