Yes I know I had a post about a month or so ago about ram, but now I am finally getting the money to buy some, not cheap crap like last time, some quality. :P

Anyways, my pc specs right now are:

3000+(333mhz)
X800 Pro
Asus A7V600 mobo
480W PSU

anyways....I would like to know your choices on what I should get, I picked out one, sorta looked good, but I am not a memory person, so I need help. This is what I thought would be good:

Please help me with this, I really need some good ram so my pc will actually run my games better, also, will be a gig of total ram.

Corsair is a very good brand, however that RAM is not top performance. First you should pick PC3200, second, you should choose low latency timings, with CAS 2 ( 2-3-3-6 is alright, 2-2-2-5 is very good).

Well see, the ram wouldn't be the right settings, so pc2700 would be the best since it is 333mhz. I don't think I would want to spend more for the PC3200 when I can't use it to its full potential. :x

For SocketA, it would have been best to use pc2700 but for s754 or s949 it doesn't matter anymore. Can someone tell me if I'm saying something stupid :)

Oh sorry, I think you think I have a 64bit cpu, I have a socket A 3000+XP processor. :x

Huh, ok then... I should have looked at the mobo's specs... and you should have bought an Athlon 64 :)

Yeah yeah yeah, this setup I have had for over a year, don't plan on upgrading for another year or so, just getting some quality ram, and thats it. :rolling:
