Hello,

Recently my computer will freeze at the most inoppitune time. It's happened alot to the point where I can not get to Windows. So, I would have to dissconnect my computer from the power and let it wat 5 minutes... Then it works.

Does anyone know why this could be happening? It's happened 6 times so far.

Could be a heat problem, most motherboards and CPU's will restart the computer and not boot up until the temperatures are at an acceptable level. Take a look in your case, see if there is alot of dust built up around the CPU, or on the actual motherboard and around the heatsink and fan on your graphics card. I actually had this problem along time ago on my P2 233mhz, the fan was completely full of dust and the pc would just restart after 5, 10 mins of useage. Am I right in saying that its the summer time in Australia just now, that could have an effect on teh temps in your case with teh weather becoming hotter and making the room warmer. Hope this helps

could also possibly be corrupt data/viruses?
re-install software that freezes
