Hey gang.
Ive had this for quite a number of years now;
Every now and then, once every day or 2, Ill have a random, quick shudder or shiver, that shakes my upper body in a spasmic, elongated twitch mixed with a shiver.
Sometimes my shoulders just shake and my neck twitches to the side, other times my arms will jolt.
Maybe twitch is too quick, it feels like a surge, a rippling effect that I can feel starting in my head, so its definitely linked to the hypothalamus.
It feels like when you touch or feel something and it makes you shiver, when whatever it was makes you feel shocked at the fact that you got a shiver from it that you werent expecting. Thats the feeling I get a second or two before the surge builds and I...spasm? Aha, sounds so weird when im writing it.
Apparently its supposed to be linked to your nervous system getting confused. Like a mix of stress and temperature change can cause a shiver...so they say. And who's they, the wizards?
I remember reading somewhere (probably wikipedia) that its a mild, common form of epilepsy...?
People laugh at me (at Uni or school), or ask if im okay whilst giving me weird looks.
'Did someone just walk over your grave?' is a common saying to describe it.
Anyone else as weird as me?
Im bringing this up because Im sat at work and have just thrashed coffee over the desk as a result of a shiver ive just had.
Comfort me HL2.net. Here I feel so at home, and yet so alone!
