Hey gang.

Ive had this for quite a number of years now;

Every now and then, once every day or 2, Ill have a random, quick shudder or shiver, that shakes my upper body in a spasmic, elongated twitch mixed with a shiver.

Sometimes my shoulders just shake and my neck twitches to the side, other times my arms will jolt.

Maybe twitch is too quick, it feels like a surge, a rippling effect that I can feel starting in my head, so its definitely linked to the hypothalamus.

It feels like when you touch or feel something and it makes you shiver, when whatever it was makes you feel shocked at the fact that you got a shiver from it that you werent expecting. Thats the feeling I get a second or two before the surge builds and I...spasm? Aha, sounds so weird when im writing it.

Apparently its supposed to be linked to your nervous system getting confused. Like a mix of stress and temperature change can cause a shiver...so they say. And who's they, the wizards?

I remember reading somewhere (probably wikipedia) that its a mild, common form of epilepsy...?

People laugh at me (at Uni or school), or ask if im okay whilst giving me weird looks.

'Did someone just walk over your grave?' is a common saying to describe it.

Anyone else as weird as me?

Im bringing this up because Im sat at work and have just thrashed coffee over the desk as a result of a shiver ive just had.

Comfort me HL2.net. Here I feel so at home, and yet so alone!

take centrum. It probably won't change anything, but in case you have a deficiency in one of those micronutrients.

Eh, happens to me too. I'm pretty sure it's not anything serious, just your muscles getting a bit bored and having a little bit of a party.

Are you a medical professional who specialises in the field of making shit up?

What you're experiencing is completely normal, I had the same "symptoms" for years. Are you taking any prescription drugs? Have you struggled with anxiety at any point in your life?

I get that sometimes, but not really strong enough to smash my coffee over the table

I often getting when taking a piss. I don't piss all over when it happens; it's not as bad as you describe. Besides, I can feel it coming on.

Does it take you by surprise or something? Or did you not have time to set the coffee down? I'm betting you thought you could hold your coffee steady enough. That shit would have been hilarious.

Same but not as often as OP.

I normally shiver when I finish pissing, feels good man.

I don't get shudders that often but my upper right arm has been twitching a lot the last couple of days. It's really irritating.

I get that from time to time, just a shiver up my back and I jump a little.

as i pointed out in raziaar's previous topic about this, it's usually only when i'm peeing in which this occurs...and to be honest, it's not entirely unwelcome. It feels good for those few seconds in which it lasts.

alternatively, i have been getting a lot of muscle spasms lately...that's interesting when it happens as it can't be almost anywhere. I currently attend physical therapy ever since my seizure and they attach little electrodes to my shoulder and for about 10 minutes I get a big twitch from the machine. it's a funny feeling to see the muscle jump every second but i guess it helps with the healing process...but i digress.

My coffee went everywhere because it was halfway between my mouth and the table.

I didnt feel this one coming quick enough, it just sort of happened within half a second or so.

So yeah, it managed to get basically thrashed onto the table infront of me, amazingly not a drop landed on me. Mustve looked like one hell of an earthquake had hit me.

It was like the scene in Top Gun when Maverick buzzes the tower and the guy spills coffee all over himself. That uncontrollable, violet shake.

Im laughing just thinking about it.

Zombieism taking hold of you.

Oh god, Unfocused, I laughed so hard when I saw the Jizz In My Pants link.

This is the best thing I've heard in a while.

Also the shivers are your body adjusting to the room temperature. It's normal.
