Greetings all,

ESRB: Ages 3 & Up

Now before I go any further with this review, everyone here has to put aside their maturity for the duration that it takes you to read this review & revert back to how you were when you were 10. (This should be easy for some.) The reason I ask this, is because for you to truly enjoy this game, you have to have an open mind to all things silly.

A couple years ago while I was visiting my sister at Lake Tahoe, she had a game on her PS2 that she wanted me to try. While I don't remember the name of it, it had some wacky characters doing wacky stunts. Didn't take long for me to see that my daughter would like the game, with it's bright, cartoonish characters & it's carnival music. Not to mention the general sillyness of the game itself & it's characters voices.

So when I was over at a friends house working on her PC last weekend, her nephew came over with a box full of old computer stuff he was getting rid of, old mouses, cables & power cords, things of that nature. Amongst the jewel cases, was a Burned DVD-R. All that was on the front was "Rayman" When I asked him what that meant, he told me it was a game a friend gave him that didn't work on his PC so he was throwing it away.

Well the game was none other than:

Rayman Raving Rabbids marks the return of the iconic video-game hero, Rayman, in his funniest and zaniest adventure ever. When the world of Rayman is threatened by a devastating invasion of crazed, out-of-control bunnies Rayman must rise up against his furry foes to foil their wicked plans. Utilizing an array of amazing new abilities, and with the help of magical creatures, Rayman must break out all the moves to save his world from these delirious bunnies and their hare-raising antics.

This game is a whole bundle of fun. My daughter loves playing it. While it took her a little while to get the hang of things, she quickly caught on. As you progress, you do a series of mini-games per level which if completed correctly, allows you to move onto the next stage, which unlocks more of the games story. For those of you that are fans of Nintendo, think of the Wario mini games on the GBA & soon to be released for the Wii. They are of that nature.

More than once I laughed out loud at the mini games I was at that time playing. There is just something funny about 4 rabbids on the beach using the outhouses & you have to keep the doors closed as they are going poop. Sounds simple right? Well it's not. Nor is having wave after wave of of rabbids with sorkels & floatie rings on charging at you & all you have to keep them at bay is a pump that fires carrot juice.

If you have children & you don't have a Wii, then I STRONGLY advise you to buy them this game. It's fun for the whole family. Yes, I said whole family. As you progress through the main game, you unlock special mini games which are accessed via the "Family" section on the main menu. At this time you can pick which games you want to play & the ability to play Coop is nicely implemented & unless you are an android, you'll need an extra set of hands, eyes, ears to complete the mini games.

Final Score: 4/5 Stars

I loved this game in a big way. Only thing is, I finished the story mode in about 5 hours, and score mode got old for me really quick.

I found myself playing the "FPS" maps over and over and over again. Just too damn cute of a game. When the rabbids started to dance to Cindi Laupers "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" I cracked up so hard, I was close to tears & had to replay that dance puzzle a dozen times..

Yeah, the dance game I never really got tired of. I just got tired.
