RCON Help

Right. It seems that I accidently banned myself through RCON ( I exec'd a config with rcon commands in it without logging into RCON first and it banned me 15 times over for RCON hacking attempts), and now I can't seem to unban myself. I have tried "rcon banip/banid 1 [id/ip]", and writeip/writeid but they don't seem to work. Worse still, the server now shows up as being down in my favourites, and in HLSW it shows up as "IP Banned" (The server is still running, I can check through rcon status).

So does anyone know a way to clear the ban list, or unban my IP? Please help

Yes. Luckily for you... In /Valve/Steam/SteamApps/<Username>/counter-strike source/cstrike/cfg/ you will see a banlist.cfg. Delete that (you don't need it to start a server. i don't have one) and EVERYONE (yes there is going to be a drawback) will be UNBANNED. of course you could just delete your name in the banlist.cfg and everything will be fine.
btw if you can't find a way to open the .cfg file use notepad
