Rcon problem

i posted this in the steam forums but they dont know what they r doing

anyways, i am having problem using rcon in my CS:S server. i do what i would normally do to use rcon commands, but it says "Unable to connect to remote server (ip)". I dont understand why this is happening. i am doing everything like i did in 1.6 before, what is the difference in the commands?

is anyone else coming up with this problem? i searched the forums and didnt find anything.

You connected to the server allready and used the rcon_password command ?
