re-installing windows

Hey,
If i upgrade my mobo and CPU will i have to re-install windows... cuz i dont have the CD for it, so will i have to reinstall it or is all the windows stuff saved on my hard-drive

Yes. You can save your files though but all your programs (included Windows) will need to be reinstalled.

Unless your running Xp with Service pack 2. Then you'll have no problems.

ive got XP with SP2... so does that mean i dont have to reinstall

Afaik, you always have to re-install.
