Anyone going this year? Line up is announced at 7pm on radio 1 and at 7.15 on www.readingfestival.com, already confirmed are headliners the pixies, foo fighters and iron maiden...

Apart from Iron Maiden, in my opinion, thats looking pretty crap. Some mates of mine are going, but I'm off to Download for Anthrax, Slayer, In Flames, Motorhead and Sabbath.

Pixies, Bloc Party, Iron Maiden, Foo Fighters, NOFX, Iggy and the Stooges

Those are about the only reasons I would go.

what a bad lineup so far!

Only a handful of Bands I realy want to see

That's not bad at all! You have to remember that that's not even half the bands who're playing. Besides, half the fun I had last year was 'cause of the people I was with and the booze I was drinking.
I'm really looking forward to this, actually!

There's loads of bands to be announced tho, foo fighters, killers, kasabian, queens of the stone age, jimmy eat world, the coral etc, they're all decent bands

I'll probably go to Leeds, but tickets are expensive as hell!

Bollocks to the cost! Good line-up, go with good people, intake whatever good substances take your good fancy and let the good times roll.

Sounds good.

If there were more bands I like at it I would attempt to go, but at the moment it doesn't look like it would be worth it.

More bands get added as time goes by and they're usually goodun's on the smaller stages. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Delays, Secret Machines, The Music, Willy Mason, The Cooper Temple Clause, Jeff Buckley, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix - it's not too much to ask, is it!?

There's only one band in the line-up I want to see though, and I'm pretty much forced into going to Leeds because rumour is that's going to be their only U.K. performance this year. Even day tickets are £70+.

well he was playing upside down with his teeth and the E string snapped... it was very bloody, no one could have survived
