Really disturbing problem with game!

I have come pretty far in the game, about 70-80% I guess. Now, every second time I save the game it causes my cpu to overheat and my computer shuts down due to BIOS-settings that I have my to protect the cpu.

How can this be?? The game seems to freeze while saving and it takes just a few econds before my computer shuts down. You can guess for yourselves how disturbing and annoying this is...

Any tips?

So I don´t think it´s that my hardware wouldn´t be sufficient.I just seems like something happens that overloads the cpu when I save....really weird...

but umm.. check your temp on bios see if its high or not

You really should avoid playing till you fix this problem. Unfortunately, I don't know of any fixes for such a serious problem. =/

Either put some extra cooling devices in the computer, or lower your CPU clock speed in the BIOS a little to avoid overheating it. You don't have it overclocked do you?

Check your CPU fan - I bet it is either not working, or starting up then quitting on you.

I have 5 fans...so f*****g loud...turn it off when I go to bed though.

Nice heavy case will quiet down a comp very well.

up the shutdown threshold temp in BIOS.. Anything up to 75C should be ok for AMD...

Power supply to low for your 6800 maybe? Thus at very needy graphics it shuts down so your power supply dosn't melt or anything.
