Really quick question

Does anyone know if an amd athlon 64 3200+ processor will fit into a socket 939 board? i know the chip is 754pin.. but does that matter?

Im tryin to convince my mate to upgrade tmorrow so he can get hl2 with me tmor hehe.

Prolly get an Abit AV8 socket 939 motherboard... doesnt matter too much about the brand, but will it cause problems at all?

A 754 pin CPU requires a 754 pin mobo, and a 939 pin requires a 939 mobo.

So to answer your question, No it wont work.
