today my lovely Logitech Z-640 speakers came through the door, so i proceded to set them up. my motherboard is an Abit NF7 which supports 6 channel audio. But the only speakers working are the sub and the front right and left. The centre only works if i press the special button on it which i shouldnt have to do.
Now, ive changed the setings in windows to 5.1 surround and changed in winamp the output driver to the Nforce one rather tahn primary and nothing changed.

There is no help on the Abit website and the speaker manual just says my computer musn't be set up correctly. I was wondering if i'd missed something out - a connection on the mobo, as the leads are in fine externaly.
I need to get this working so any help will be appreciated. :rolling:

Nevermind, i got it working.. it turns out the orange and black plugs need to be swopped over. got no centre in winamp but that doesnt matter, i can press the matirx button. :D

:D I had a similar problem with my Zalman 5.1 headphones and the onboard audio. The manual actually served it's purpose for once.

i had a similar problem with creative labs 5400 5.1 and old soundblaster and it ended up the old soundblaster was a 4.1 so i got a LIVE! 5.1 card :D
