Oh well, I'm still happy ReBoot is returning in some form. A revival (or reboot) of the franchise with a completely new cast of characters is probably the only way the series could have returned.

I'm hoping the sort of uber-serious Internet and Supercomputer storylines were random bad decisions that the writers couldn't back out of once they'd started. Everything else about the series was gold, it's just those few characters and events that kind of sucked.

Those were the start of the "other" writers. Sadly, they didn't do as good of a job, but I did still kind of enjoy it. The whole Enzo/...fish girl *I forgot her name.* love thing was what I was hoping for since they first introduced her.

I don't know, they went a bad way, but they made it better than what I was expecting!

Most of the original people left some time ago, I believe, but wow, this is a big nice surprise. Absolute utter <3 for ReBoot. 3 full movies!

I suppose they're going to be continuing from the cliffhanger of the half-season 4 (remember "prepare for the hunt"?).

Now if we could just get seasons 1 and 2 on DVD (or hmm HD-DVD), all would be non-8 bit with the universe.

Season 3 produced some of my favorite episodes, but I agree, the first two seasons as a whole were more consistently good. Maybe it was the episodes being self-contained and the characters more up-beat all the time that gave ReBoot its charm.

Speaking of which, here's the episode that started the transformation of ReBoot into a serialized form. Hexidecimal is such an awesome character, and I think the Painted Windows episode may be her finest appearance.
