When I start the game, my computer reboots. This happens when the word "halflife 2" lights up after the first loading. I haven't made it to the options-screen so far. UT2004 and Doom3 work work on my computer. I haven't expecienced such a crash before. Tried single-CPU affinity for HL2, but no difference from that.
System specs:
- Asus 9600 XT
- 2x Opteron 240
- 550 Watt EPS power supply
- Windows XP pro
- DirectX 9.0c
- Latest driver from ATI
Maybe I can configure HL2 to have it not crash ? Maybe the video driver is not multi-CPU proof ? I'm open for any suggestions.
