I'm having trouble with my machine. I've installed a new X800 Card and when i play certain games the machine will reboot. This also happens when i browse a webpage(although rarely). Now I'm thinking this is a power supply issue. Any help as to a good brand of power supply to buy.

P.S. anyone have any idea why my machine will access the hard drive for a few seconds and not alow me to do anything while it does when i first login to windows xp.

Yeah it probably is the power supply. Antec and Thermaltake make the best power supplies, get a 350 watt or higher from either of them.

It could be motherboard AGP conflicts, if all else fails turn AGP speed from 8 to 4.

This happened to my power supply a few weeks ago after adding a dvd burner and another hard drive to my rig. At first it just started cutting power while in games, then while loading up windows, then it wouldn't even get past the bios and would just cut power after like 4 or 5 seconds. ordered a new power supply from newegg and everything runs perfect now.

this is what i ordered to replace my old one, and I'm very happy with it so far.

I have the same exact power supply, its great.

lol, I almost had a laughing fit a couple days ago in Compusa when I saw that they had the exact same power supply "On Sale" for $106 :p

Thanks lads. In response to the AGP Conflict. i'm running in 4x at the moment anyway as my current motherboard is only the A7n333. I have a Gigabyte (something) Pro 2 to install but i'm gonna do a fresh install of windows on it as installing a motherboar to use wothout doing so is a pain in the arse so i hear.
