When starting HL2 my computer reboots on loading the options screen. I've gotten further than this in the past, but because then the game would reboot my PC at the initial train ride I decided to download the game and reinstall it again. With results even worse :frown: .
However now the options screen does make strange noise so the current crashing may be related to the troubles concerning sound. However I haven't seen any post reporting HL2 crash the PC while producing noice.
By now it's day 5 and I haven't smashed one single :bounce: . I'm out of hope to see this fixed without the first major patch. Feel free to write down your own crash experiences in reply. Also I'd be happy to see some screenshots of the game actually working :thumbs: .
