Hey, this seems the suitable place. Whenever I try to play Half-Life 2 I go through the usual routine; insert disc, click Half-Life 2 symbol or go through to Steam and 'Play Games...' yadda yadda but as of a couple of weeks ago I ran into a problem. None of them are working. I double click 'play' and it comes up with the Steam box (Preparing to play Half-Life 2...) and then it pauses, goes away as if going to play, then nothing.

I've tryed a number of times, and waited a long time now just in case it was slow loading. Still... nothing. I've completed the game anyway, but I have the urge to go back and look for the stuff I missed and just generally mess about, etc. Its also stopping me from playing anything else from my Steam menu (Strider mod, etc).
Any help would be much'o great.
