Recommend me a UK broadband provider

I'm in the market for a new provider. I need:

Unlimited - None of this "fair useage" crap. I know most have it, and I can live with "highest 1% of users may be notified", but an unlimited plan with a predefined quota for "fair useage" is not unlimited.
Reliability/quality - If the internet connection drops more than once a month, I consider it unreliable.
Non-dickness - I was with pipex once. They decided to cap any connection that had a torrent running to between 20kbs and cutoff, without any warning*. I am not with pipex anymore.

Everything above is mandatory, everything else is optional. I will happily pay double to any provider that meets the above requirements vs one that misses one. Price is not (within reason) an issue. Anyone found a provider that likes to treat its gamer/downloader customers well? Oh yeah, adsl max only where I live, no cable/fiber/wimax.

*When this happened, took the forums a couple of weeks to figure it out, whilst pipex denied it was happening. Shit flew.

O2 are pretty good and we don't pay an awful lot for them, though that's probably due to the bill payer being a O2 mobile customer.

I can't speak for the quality of the connection, because I've kind of lost track of how to test that stuff. But we're four students with casual online gaming tendancies, watching streaming video and not necessarily using one machine each (two PS3s, one Wii, one 360 in the house), and I've never found it difficult to get a game of TF2 in when I fancy one. I dare say if the four of us were torrenting the shit out of the internet we'd have more difficulty, but we're certainly not light users, and they've yet to pull any 'fair-use' BS on us.

Virgin are good.

If you download several gigs during the day they'll cap your speed until night. For serious downloading do it between midnight and like 7 or 9am. Their top speed package doesn't have this.

I think all their speeds have unlimited download amount, and is truly unlimited. My old flatmate was a massive torrent junkie and we never had any problems. Also with Virgin Cable Broadband the speed is great. With the 20mb max speed package my flatmate got 2.7mb/s on one download sometimes.

Seconding O2. Good speeds, no caps, good support, and relatively cheap.
