I don't want to hijack the other thread, so I'll ask all my questions here.

1) Recommend me some system memory!

2) The cheaper the better!

I have very little knowledge about computers, so bare with me, please.

I don't know what info about my computer to give you guys, but I know everything there is to know about my computer, so ask what you need to know, then I will tell you.

Thanks ya.

P.S. Do my system specs even matter? Could I just buy any random stick, and shove it in the slots?

If ya could tell us what your PC model or motherboard model is that would help a lot. There are different types of memory so it maters.

I think this is all my system crap (if not, sorry..)

Here.

If it isn't, sorry, I'd normally just post what you asked for, but I used to have all the boxes for this stuff right next to my computer, I cleaned up, and no longer have those boxes/manuals, so I'm kind of stupid right now.. (I know I said I know everything there is to know about my computer, but I just read the boxes and stuff, and forgot that I no longer had them while writing that... uh, bad day..)

It says D865PERL. I could've told you that, but - the boxes... I knew it was something-PERL..

Again, sorry for being computer-stupid.

Easiest place to find is go to crucial's site. Uses regular DDR memory (184 pins). DDR400 (aka PC3200) would be best. If you are going to buy at a local retail store, that is all ya need to know really. Sometimes different brands or models won't work together but you just have to try em out and see if your PC starts with the new stuff in it.

Your board can run in dual channel mode so make sure you buy 2 sticks that are the same size so they work as a pair. Would be faster than if you had an odd number of sticks and have the PC run in single channel mode.
